The Orion 1811 Cation Sodium monitor is first in a series of microprocessor-based analyzers designed to measure trace ion levels in relatively pure water continously. The Orion 1811 measures sodium in the 1 ppb to 10,000 ppb range, and has been specifically designed to operate in high acid effluent from the cation exchanger in a demineralization system. A unique system for pH adjustment eliminates the need for compressed gases and expensive reagents. Instrument calibration is quick, simple, highly reliable and accurate using a simple pipet. A temperature sensor, immersed in the sample, monitors sample temperature and is used for automatic temperature compensation. A signal conditioner offers the choice between linear and logarithmic concentration output. Since the Orion 1811 has been designed with few moving parts, it requires little maintenance and is extremely reliable.
