The densifier is a machine ideal for the transformation and recycling of plastics materials from industrial and post consumer wastes. The densifying process consists of blades that are set in high-speed rotation by the motor. The fed material is initially shredded into tiny pieces. At this point, the frictional action between the blade and the plastic film takes over and as a result, the plastic begins to overheat. When the temperature gets to the point that the process material begins to soften, cold water is injected. The thermal shock that is generated produces a rapid aggregation of the material and through the action of the blades, the material is cut into irregularly-shaped granules that differ in size. This densified product can be considered as a final product or can be further processed into extruding.
