Principle of Operation:

1. The APV Crepaco Homogenizer, available with a variety of valves, provides continuous homogenization of liquids, semi-liquids, and products containing fibers.

2. Product is supplied under pressure to the inlet of the headblock. As the plunger travels backward, product enters through the suction valve into the cylinder. As the plunger starts traveling forward, the suction valve closes and the discharge valve opens, allowing the product to flow out of the cylinder.

a. The homogenizing valve is adjusted until sufficient pressure is created to affect the desired homogenization.

b. After homogenization, product is discharged through the outlet of the valve for continuation of product processing or packaging.
